YE 2008

My goodness where did the year go...I had hoped to update this monthly, but November and December slipped past way too fast. We had a busy last two months with holidays and work. We were able to make a trek to NC and VA for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and as always had a great time and it was great to see all the VA Conners as well as Aunt Brenda who was up from Florida.

Where to start with what's going on...

Hunter is now 7 months old and growing up so quickly I can't even remember what it was like to have an infant! At her last checkup in early December she weighed 18lbs 10 oz and she was 28.5in tall (98%'tile in height)...she's going to be very tall when she grows up! She is still a very laid back baby and just takes it all in...she's sitting up great on her own but all she wants to do is stand and forget laying on her belly to attempt crawling...she will have none of it! She laughs and smiles alot and is "talking" more and more. She's still not quite sure what to make of Riley and her non-stop talking and squealing! She enjoyed Christmas but I think Santa could have saved a bundle of money if he'd just bought a roll of crinkly wrapping paper to play with...the wrapping paper was by far the biggest hit for Christmas in Hunter's world!

Riley is almost 3 1/2 years old now and she's also growing like a weed. She seems so tall and so much older than the kids in her class. She had her first school "program" where the kids came out and sang some holiday songs. She was fearless in front of a packed house...belting the songs out with the best of 'em! She also thoroughly enjoyed Christmas -Santa brought her a new bike but unfortunately it has done nothing but rain in GA for 2 solid weeks so one day soon, we hope to get her outside to actually try it out. She's improving in tennis and soccer weekly....mommy hopes she only takes up tennis in the long run...of all the sports I watch, soccer is not one of them and I have no clue how the game goes!

December also brought some sad times to our family...after over 3 years with our family, we had to say bye to our nanny, Miss Becky. She has been in integral part of our lives and it was with much sadness that we had to part ways. We miss her terribly and it's only been a few weeks. Since she's gone, both Riley & Hunter are attending school full-time. Hunter has made it thru 2 days with flying colors and Riley is still trying to adjust to staying all day...good news for us is they're both pooped when they come home so they hit the sack early!

Well 2008 flew by and we're growing one year older...whoever said kids make you young lied...I've never felt so old in my life but I wouldn't pass it up for anything! Hope you all are doing well...we miss everyone in the various states...let us hear from you soon....
